Moët Ice Champagne – Refreshing and Cool.

Many people come to Kurfürstendamm to spend the day shopping or visiting art galleries such as the exhibition at the Helmut Newton Foundation. And now that summer’s here in Berlin, there’s no better way to end your day then to stop by Le Faubourg terrace to enjoy an appertivo under the late afternoon sun.

Le Faubourg has partnered with Moët to provide you with the opportunity to sample an exclusive limited edition iced champagne. Cultivated from classic French pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay grapes, it’s a full bodied demi-sec (semi-dry) champagne that’s served only on ice.

I decided to sample this lovely ice champagne for myself recently. Sitting out on the terrace, I excitedly placed my order with the waiter. I couldn’t wait to try it out!

Minutes later he returned with a glass of the requested Moët champagne served over ice. It was a nice surprise when he also brought a selection of flavors that I could use to enhance the drink, including the zest of lemon, lime and orange and even fresh mint leaves. I chose to add some mint leaves and zest of lemon.

The verdict? The ice champagne was delicious as expected. Light, refreshing and not too sweet. A champagne for everyone, really.

Moët produces this wine in very limited quantities and Le Faubourg is lucky enough to be the only restaurant in West Berlin serving this ice champagne. We invite you to come and enjoy this special champagne before it’s gone!
