Fresh and French Editorial Week 24
As always, we’ve got a fine selection of “Fresh & French” topics to keep you entertained this week:
Hotel
– I recently decided to pay a visit to Jan Kleihues, the award-winning architect responsible for the Hotel Concorde Berlin’s unique look and feel – both inside and out. Read part one of my visit to the Kleihues + Kleihues office in Charlottenburg, located inside a beautifully renovated former rubbish transfer station, to find out more about how the hotel came to be, as well as what other projects they are responsible for.
Wine and Taste
– As November makes way for December, we take a look at what the Brasserie Le Faubourg will be serving up this month. As always, guests can expect mouthwatering French dishes prepared with fresh, local produce. This week, I went along to the staff tasting for a look behind the scenes at the time and effort that goes into putting the menu together.
Lifestyle
– Germany is the home of Christmas markets, or Weihnachtsmärkte, and Berlin has more than its fair share with a market to suit every taste: trashy, classy, traditional, alternative, fair trade… this week I’ll be giving you the lowdown. Stay tuned to find out where you can ride one of the longest taboggan runs in Europe, sample reindeer meat and take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage…
