Fresh and French Editorial Week 12

Hotel Concorde Berlin

We’ve got three cracking “Fresh and French” posts in store for you this week. Here’s a little taste of good things to come:

Hotel

-  One thing’s for sure: Hotel Concorde is full of fantastic artwork. Last week we learned about the sculptures of Dietrich Klingel, this week we will be getting to know Katrin Kampmann, whose colourful creations – 22 in total – can be found all over the hotel. We paid a visit to her artist’s studio in Mitte before joining her, in true Berlin style, up on the roof of her building. Stay tuned for part two next week.

Wine and Taste

- The former president of France, Charles de Gaulles, once famously asked: “How can you govern a country which has 246 different types of cheese?” Good job nobody told him that, depending on how you classify them, there could be as many as 1000 different types; he would have resigned. The Brasserie Le Faubourg know their Comté from their Bleu des Causses. They are the experts for French cheese in Berlin, so it’s time to pay them a little visit.

Lifestyle

- This week we checked out Boutqiue Dibel. These friendly veterans of high-end fashion have not one, but two stores in our neighbourhood, our Kiez.
